In August my father and I ventured over to France & Switzerland to spend a week riding through many of cycling's famed regions and climbs before joining a professionally run tour (Thomson Bike Tours) for a supported ride from Geneva, Switzerland to Nice, France. To date this was the toughest of our father/son excursions and definitely one of the most fun as we got to experience many of the places we see on TV each July during the Tour de France. If you're considering a similar cycling trip I highly recommend the Thomson group as they are serious about their cycling!
